How I designed my blog logo

I've always been a fan of personalising my stuff and my blog wouldn't be my blog if I didn't personalise the crap out of it. So designing my own blog header wasn't even a question.

I am going to show you the easiest way to make a unique blog logo/header without using any fancy programmes you'll need to pay for :). And please keep in mind that I have absolutely no experience with design so if you know a better way of doing the following feel free to comment it down below (I guess this "tutorial" is for the people like me who don't have the best equipment for designing.)

1. The first step was to draw the motive I wanted
2. Then I scanned the painting

3. On the Fotos application (apple computers usually have already installed) I adapted the light and colour  and corrected blemishes

4. On a website called canva I edited the rest of the logo by adding the blog title

5. After downloading the image you can place it as your header

And voilà, you have an individual logo for your blog!

Like I said this is definitely not the best way to make your own blog logo but it's veeeery simple. But I hope this has maybe helped someone out there :)

  1. I just stumbled across your blog (from TBC) and I'm loving the design! Your tutorial on creating a blog logo is pretty useful too, do you have any tips for those who are not artistically-inclined (aka can't draw well like me)? Anyway I'm really looking forward to future posts!

    1. Hi there :)
First of all thank you for your comment! Well I think you don't have to be an artistic genius to create a simple blog logo. You can also work with the website I mentioned in the post. There you can design a blog logo with cool fonts and work with photos or cool designs it offers.
I hope this was helpful in a way!

  2. I really appreciate that you've taken the time to craft your own logo as opposed to snatching one off the web (as many, including myself have done).
Your logo looks professional and impressive!

    Well done, Sophie.

If you had the time, you should consider designing other blogger's logos for either a shoutout or money. It could be something to consider!
